REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, directly selling point of sale systems and merchant services to business customers within a defined geographic territory. This person will support the point of sale systems and merchant services sales efforts by interacting with the Director of Sales and Development and Sales and Business Operations Manager to coordinate, supervise and monitor the sales, implementation and support of the various point of sale systems and merchant services products with business customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is expected to perform the specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities as outlined below:

  • Actively prospecting targeted business customers via self-sourced initiatives as well as company assigned leads
  • Consult with new and existing clients to develop needs-based recommendations for their
    point of sale and merchant services needs
  • Collect merchant processing statements for analysis
  • Perform demonstrations of point of sale systems and other solutions
  • Prepare and deliver customized professional sales presentations and proposals that are responsive to individual customer needs
  • Provide recommendations on value added services opportunities for additional business products and services such as financing, MCAs, payroll, and equipment leasing.
  • Participate in in-person and virtual weekly sales meetings
  • Participate in on-going sales training on new developments in merchant services and point of sale products
  • Ensure proper account documentation and agreement execution
  • Responsive to business customer inquiries regarding point of sale systems and merchant services
  • Accomplish sales goals focused on generating and maintaining new merchant relationships
  • Be involved in performing marketing endeavors/efforts

EMPLOYEE QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in the Fintech Industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years sales experience B2B
  • Must possess basic English language skills in order to write and speak clearly and effectively with coworkers and customers
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to travel within defined geographic area; must have reliable transportation
  • Effective communication skills including written and oral presentation skills
  • Proven PC skills and internet-based systems experience
  • Demonstrated consultative sales skills
  • Ability to pass a National Background Check

OTHER SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience using HubSpot is a plus
  • Ability to use the computer efficiently and the capacity to learn new software programs as they are rolled out by the company
  • Must be well-organized, accurate, and attentive to detail
  • Must be cooperative and willing to assist customers on a regular basis
  • Must have effective listening skills demonstrated by the ability to listen to others talk (without interruption), understand them, and then propose solutions or make contributions based on the points made by others
  • Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to function well under pressure
  • Must be able to remain composed under pressure and respond to customer and coworker concerns regularly
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and follow instructions to the letter
  • Must be patient and willing to help others in solving problems while always maintaining a positive attitude

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to walk frequently and for long periods of time throughout the day to acquire new merchants and assist existing ones
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time during travel by car
  • Must be able to hear and communicate with coworkers and customers throughout the day
  • May need to lift up to 25 pounds one to two times a day to perform job
